THE CLIENT: Business Growth Coach
Fix my funnel: This business works in the coaching and business growth industry. They specialise in how to use a leading Social media platform and boost their business through marketing and sales.
They have been operating for several years and run workshops, live offline and online plus online courses. They also offer done for you services.
The Client contacted us over an existing funnel they wanted fixed.
THE PROBLEM: Delicate Timing and Personnel
One of their lead generation funnel was designed and built around qualifying prospects. It requires people to qualify themselves for the programme.
If they did, it sends these to an interview with one of the staff. The design of the funnel meant the booking after qualification went directly to this staff members diary. In addition, all other integrations were directly to them!
The trouble was a sensitive matter as the staff involved, was not then converting these leads.
You couldn’t turn it off otherwise their lead generating system would dry up and they didn’t want to alert the individual at this stage.
This business approached us to help them fix the funnel without alerting the staff member.
The last issue – the documentation comprised of 2 images of had drawn designs showing the the high level funnel, what apps were involved and email sequence.
THE SOLUTION: Fix one then the other
The first step was to understand how the funnel actually worked through all the different apps and processes. As very little documentation was in place, each step had to be dissected and analysed to see what happened and what app was invoked through each phase.
There were 6 applications used throughout the funnel. It included qualification steps through a survey, booking appointments, video communications and other software.
Once that process and apps were understood and their involvement the plan was to amended the back up funnel before the master one., This was amended and then tested.
Once that was signed off, the live traffic was switched over to this funnel while the same process was followed to amend the master funnel.
THE RESULT: Revised and Fixed Funnel
After a few weeks of testing swapping and fine tuning the funnel, the funnel was back up running with the new staff inserted into the process.
Work was also done on other funnels where staff were trying to adjust features. We haven’t released this clients name due to sensitivity around the member of staff involved.
